Re: Lower lag

1) PLEASE don't apologize for being helpful. DX 2) YES!!! I'm rest assured that there are a ton of scripted objects we don't even use anymore... Let alone scripts. As for the spinny things... Who knows? Rotating ~vs~ 4 horizontal repeats. Animated textures on round objects have a minor distortion is...

Re: Recruiting people inworld?

I can't be sure that the OP is still reading. I'm on a very short list of people who frequently visit. Though, any help is good help at this point. If the OP doesn't get the message, someone who arrives later may. (^_^)

Re: Suggestion for NCI Infohub land permission

Done and verified. (^_^)

The only mainland parcel I wasn't able to reduce was Braunworth. It's set to 2 hours, though it's right next to a 3 hour sandbox... So editing the NCI parcel won't really make a difference. (^_^)

Re: Suggestion for NCI Infohub land permission

That's a very reasonable request. I'd even argue that a 1 minute autoreturn would be most appropriate. I'd still want people to be able to rez and open freebie boxes on-the-spot. I believe the majority of freebie boxes are self-opening now. (^_^) It won't be too hard to hop around to make this chang...

Re: Recruiting people inworld?

That's a tough one. Internet people and particularly SL people react quite negatively to surveys. One of the core reasons why is that most surveyors come out of the woodwork with a pretty generic approach. I must say, your own introduction includes very familiar statements. Re: We shape our buildings ... how do we know?

Oh, now I'm all tempted to write a PHP solution. =^-^=

And, Matlab, wise choice. There's an engineer here that uses it for some pretty wicked data analysis presentations. (^_^)

Right now the un-lazy side of me is building a gas station. (^_^)y

Mythbusting: Stripping your avatar for teleports (^_^)

"Why can't I teleport" has been to strip your avatar to reduce the lag while transitioning from one sim to the next. The conversation often flows like this: * Icant Gonowhere: ACK! I can't teleport. * Idont Actuallyknow: Take everything off then try again. * Icant Gonowhere: You mean get n...
