Kuula decor

Just wondering how we give feedback on things we like or dislike at Kuula. Many regulars hang out for long periods and we probably see more comments both positive and negative, re the decor. Yes yes i hear you say, post here on the forum. Thing is, forums are kind of old school and a lot of people wont use them. People use Discord now and Twitter, not forums, that's what my dad uses and he's 80. People get scolded for using the NCI chat groups to give feedback. If people can't do that, but instead have to go outside of SL and make a new account and all that, they are less likely to actually voice an opinion.

How about .... radical idea here.... a suggestion box.

IKR, crazy idea, giving feedback about SL, within SL.

Regarding the forum as a means of communication:
Maybe it's not as hip as Discord or Twitter.
But it has several advantages over them:
  • Flexibility:
Forum software offers many options that we may want. Like polls, just to name one example.
  • Privacy:
Some of us are protective about their privacy. Discord, Twitter, Google, Facebook - most of the seemingly hip alternatives are known for blatant disregard of privacy. Sure, you may not care. But some of us do. I certainly do.
  • Think-before-you-ink:
Making people compose their thoughts in a forum post helps us distinguish between those who just nag on about stuff because they're having a crappy day, and those who care enough to take a few minutes and post it here.
Now -- about the actual issue at hand, I already said in-world that I'd like to ask the decorating committee (Ginger, Mezzo and Nor mostly) to respond to your concern (which I fail to see in your post above, actually).

What you actually said was ask Ginger, and I said I rarely see her so that is not possible. If you had said what you said here, I would say "ok will speak to Nor later". I didn't know then (but do now) that the other 2 are part of a committee.

Back to the other point, suggestion box?

I'm not opposed to a suggestion box. We used to have one. It was mostly unused and boring. But we could try it again.

Or interested parties could helpfully collect suggestions and post them on the forum for those too forum-deprived.

As for trendier approaches, well, I use Twitter and Slack and a bunch of other meetup things, and I think the forum works just fine for our porpoises, and also for the furries and humans.

The reason I mentioned Ginger in chat was because the pool you were objecting to is hers.
It wasn't meant to be a trick or anything.

was told she intended to delete the swimming pool, so the next time I saw it, I returned it.

I put my pool out last night, there were 5 or so people using it so I left it out when I logged. I returned roughly 3 hours later to remove it but there were still people using it. People were enjoying it so I decided to leave it out for the day.
I was going to set it to another group so auto return would get it but I do not trust the Lindens to return stuff safely. It is a rare, no copy and expensive item so I left it the to be safe, fingers crossed it's back in my inventory.
( I also left it there so I 'had' to log back in today to collect it.)

Also, if you need to chat to me I am always on the forum, can do this laying down :P

I'll be happy to leave things alone, in fact I usually would, but someone told me you planed to remove it, so I did. :)
